I love hand embroidery so much, that I’ve designed several free embroidery patterns for you to download. I decided to gather them all in one post, so you can easily find the patterns that I offer for free. There are more than 45 of them. So many great ones to choose from!
How Do I Download an Embroidery Pattern?
Just click the link above each of the photos, and you’ll get instructions to access my free embroidery pattern library. Make sure to check out my shop for more beautiful embroidery patterns and my embroidery eBook. If you need help with any of the stitches, I have video guides on my embroidery stitches guide page.
Embroidery Pattern FAQ
An embroidery pattern is a drawing you can transfer to fabric to embroider. It usually tells you the stitches, how many strands of embroidery floss, and what colors to use.
The easiest way to transfer an embroidery pattern is with a light table (or sunny window) and a disappearing pen. If the shapes are very small, or the fabric is dark, you can use a water soluble stabilizer to transfer your words. Check out my post on how to transfer an embroidery pattern for full details.
The six basic embroidery stitches are running stitch, backstitch, split stitch, stem stitch, satin stitch, and French knots. See my guide to 30 hand embroidery stitches for more details.
You can make your own embroidery pattern by simply drawing a design and deciding what colors and stitches to use. If you want to make it more professional looking, I have a video that shows you a free and easy way to make one using Inkscape. Check that out here.

I am looking for a wildflower design long and tall not round. Do u happen to have a pattern that may work for me. My daughter in law bought me a large chair hoop(but it’s square so I can do it sitting down and not hold on to it)

I don't know if I have anything like that. You can also try searching coloring book pages or "flower outline" on google and just make your own.
