How to Embroider a Rose with Bullion Knots

There are many different ways to learn how to embroider a rose.  A bullion knot rose is something I’ve been wanting to try for a while, so I gave it a go.  Bullion knots can be very tricky, so make sure you master those before giving this a try.  It also helps to have the right needle.  Use a milliners needle or a needle especially designed for bullion knots to make this easier for you.

How to Embroider a Rose with Bullion Knots

Once you’ve mastered the bullion knot, you can learn how to embroider a rose with bullion knots.  You want to try and make sort of a pinwheel pattern with the bullion knots.  I’m still working on getting mine just right, and this one took a lot of tries.  Check out my video below to see how I did it.
