How to do the Turkey Stitch

Learning how to do the turkey stitch can seem a little difficult at first.  It’s definitely an embroidery stitch that’s worth learning though.  You can use it to make pretty turkey stitch flowers or embroider hair or fur.  You can even leave the loops without trimming them if you like that look.

How to do the Turkey Stitch

To work the turkey stitch, you will be making small stitches across the base of large loops to hold them down.  This is definitely one that is best learned via video, so check out my video tutorial below.
