Easter Candy Jar – Trend Fest 2014
I had a really hard time coming up with something for this!Ā In the end, I settled on an Easter candy jar to hold my yummy Easter treats.Ā Now if only these things could last more than 24 hours in my house!Ā “Hi, my name is Jessica, and I’m addicted to Cadbury mini eggs.”Ā Hey, at least it’s only a seasonal problem.
Then we’ve got washi tape… and not just any washi tape… chevron washi tape!Ā That makes two more trends!Ā Kinda looks like a big Easter egg, right?
To top it all off (literally) I took some chalkboard vinyl, cut it into a circle, and stuck it on the lid.
And what’s a contest without prizes for you?!Ā One lucky voter will win six trendy pencils!!!Ā One decorated by each of us participating in the Trend Fest. You know, because the perfect prize for April Fool’s Day is trendy pencils.Ā Here’s the lovely pencil that that I made for the prize pack.Ā Yep, it’s dipped in GOLD… gold paint anyway.Ā Good luck!
Ooooo! Your gold dipped pencil is so chic, Jessica! And I absolutely love the ombre baker’s twine detail…and the fact that you have that many different options of baker’s twine to make such a feat possible! Tee hee. Also, I’m now craving cadbury mini eggs, thanks to you. So glad we did this!
Hehe. Thanks Lauren! I’ve got a LOT of baker’s twine. š
Oh snap! A gold dipped pencil!?! Love <3. I am also addicted to Cadbury eggs. I’m glad they are only out once a year! I love your project. It is totally cute!!
Thanks Tori! It looked more “gold-dipped” when I made it… shouldn’t have sharpened it. š
I love that it looks like an Easter egg! Our candy jar is a pumpkin cookie jar my mom got for us. Hmm… maybe I should make something more seasonally appropriate. And now I want some chocolate!!!
Thanks Trisha! I know! This post is making me want more chocolate too!
