Tying knots in the end of embroidery floss seems like an easy task. A regular knot might not be big enough, depending on the weave of your fabric. So you go to tie a double knot… that’s when the trouble starts. It can be difficult to get the knot in the right place a second time. Cue the quilter’s knot. The quilter’s knot is easy to execute, and it makes a knot large enough that it won’t slip through the fabric.
In the following video, I’ll show you how to make a quilter’s not at the end of your embroidery floss. It looks difficult at first, but it’s actually pretty simple. Give it a try, and you’ll see. (If you are using an ad blocker, you may need to turn it off to see the video.)
Easy, right?! Take a look at my how to embroider for beginners post for more embroidery tips.

Amazing info! Can’t wait to learn more. Your page is the best I’ve came across. I know the basics of how to. But I need to learn knots the most and just some extra tips wouldn’t hurt.
