How to do a Straight Stitch

I feel a little silly telling you how to do a straight stitch.  It’s probably the most simple stitch of them all.  It’s great for all kinds of things though, and you should definitely know what it is.

How to do a Straight Stitch

A straight stitch is just what it sounds like.  You bring the needle up through the back at one point and bring it down at a second point.  That will give you a straight line.  Usually this stitch is smaller, but I made it longer for this demonstration.  Bring needle up at 1 and down at 2.
