I feel a little silly telling you how to do a straight stitch. It’s probably the most simple stitch of them all. It’s great for all kinds of things though, and you should definitely know what it is.
A straight stitch is just what it sounds like. You bring the needle up through the back at one point and bring it down at a second point. That will give you a straight line. Usually this stitch is smaller, but I made it longer for this demonstration. Bring needle up at 1 and down at 2.
