DIY Fairy Garden

November 9, 2013

Audrey and I had a lot of fun this week making her a fairy garden!  She is really loving fairies right now, so this was the perfect activity!

I’ve been wanting to do this with her for a while now, but haven’t had the motivation to gather the supplies.  Luckily Horizon Group, USA (the company that powers CraftProjectIdeas.com and MyNextStyle.com) sent us a free fairy garden KIT to test out.  (We got this kit for free all opinions are my own.)

The kit comes with everything you see in the photo below.  I love the little birdie!

Of course, we needed to add our own flair!  I helped Audrey (and Leah) paint some foam stamps to decorate the edges of the box.

Not necessary, but oh so cute!

Since I knew she was going to want to play with it in the house, we filled it with “sparkly rocks” aka floral rocks.  We got those and some fake flowers at the dollar store.  In the spring, we’ll get some dirt and plant some real flowers in it outside.

And no fairy garden would be complete without GLITTER!

So sparkly!!!

Now the fairy has a beautiful home. Yes, that’s a pile of glitter on top of the tree. 🙂

We even got a little sparkly Christmas tree for the fairy to celebrate with.

Audrey is having so much fun playing in her little fairy world!

The kits are available in the gardening center of Walmart.  They are also available as a Fairy Tea Garden Kit and a Terrarium Fairy Garden Kit.  I think they would make great Christmas gifts!
