Easter Bunny Hoop – Free Embroidery Pattern

I had a craving to do some embroidery this past week.  I know it’s not perfect (I redid the rainbow three times), but I still thought I’d share with you.  Just in time for Easter!  To get the free embroidery pattern, follow the instructions at the bottom of this post.

I think the little bunny and the flowers came out pretty darn cute.  Don’t you love his little french knot tail?!  What is it about french knots that always looks so great?

And if you look at it from an angle, the rainbow looks almost straight!  😉  Oh well, it gives it character, right?  Just make yours better.  I didn’t know what else to embroider on, so I just kept it in the hoop.  I think I’ll just set it out as an Easter decoration.  It would be cute in a nursery or something too.  You don’t have to make it for Easter.

Hope you all have a great Easter!

Hi! I so love your embroidery patterns, they are all lovely! I am planning on starting with this bunny pattern & then the rainbow girls pattern. How can I find out what colors of floss to use on these two patterns? Thanks for your help! :)

Did I leave the colors off those patterns? They were some of my first ones. If you search for the blog post that corresponds, I might have listed the colors there. If not, I probably just used whatever I had that didn't have labels. Sorry, I was such a newbie at that time!

This is very beautiful and a very crafty idea. As a Mother of four very mentally challenged children and wife to a disabled husband I am always looking for neat crafts I can use to teach my children and decorate our home. I noticed the statement where you "were not sure what to make it on". I was thinking not only "would it look nice in a nursery" but go one step further, make a few of them to create a child's quilt.

Thank you! Oh, those are such great ideas! You could even do different shapes using lace.

Very cute! I'm looking to start a hoop art collection, but I just sent the first piece of embroidery I've completed in a couple years off on a submarine with my husband! I've never used fabric (like in your hoop art post) with my embroidery, but I'll have to read up on the technique before I get started on my wall.
